THE WRITING ACCELERATOR:
From Stuck to Soaring in Six Foundational Steps
You have a vision, a dream of a book,
A story you know in your bones will serve someone, or
A framework that is already transforming lives.
You see a more expansive future–
For yourself, for your readers, for our world.
Your message is a mission,
Which is why it feels urgent.
How will you act on the urgency of work
that carries a high purpose?
Because for you, completing and publishing a book is not only about the external rewards that a publishing contract represents.
It goes beyond getting more clients, more speaking gigs, more visibility – all of which come with a great book.
It’s ultimately about
making an impact,
shaping the future, and
creating the world
you want to live in.
When you tap into this level of desire, you tap into your destiny.
And what holds you back from fully stepping into that role?
In the 20+ years I have been teaching and coaching, I have discerned four scenarios that keep writers from moving forward with their mission books.
Scenario # 1 — Stuck at the Starting Gate
- You have an idea, a story, a vision for a better way of doing things. You have experience you want to share. Maybe you’ve hit on a great title and created an outline. You have a plan, but you can’t get words on the page. You don’t know where or how to start writing.
OR
- You have an idea, a story, a vision, but are stuck trying to organize your material. You’ve been searching for structure, trying to stuff your ideas into an outline. You don’t think you can’t move forward until you know how this book will turn out.
These are common sticking points for beginning writers, although I see veteran writers struggling here as well. You want some kind of assurance that your book is going to work.
The creative process is, at its best, about allowing a book
or an idea to reveal itself to you through the act of writing.
I can help you get started. I can help you find your way into the flow of words.
Scenario #2 — Stalled in the Middle
- You’ve been working on a project for a while. At first, the writing flowed freely. You had a clear sense of direction. The pages added up. The chapters rolled along. Then the stream of words started feeling more like a trickle, and you stopped. Since then, you haven’t been able to find your mojo again. You desperately want to get back there, to that place where the words flow.
OR
- You have been in the flow of free writing for a while, but can’t get the writing out of your notebooks and onto your computer. Transcribing all those pages into some kind of document that would become an actual manuscript feels heavy, like moving boulders.
If you’re like most of my clients, you berate yourself for these problems. You call yourself lazy. You chide yourself for procrastinating, curse yourself for another day of distraction on your devices.
Delay and distraction are common problems for everyone in the 21st Century, and we’ll address them, but they are not the underlying issue.
For writers stalled in the middle, there is almost always something deeper than distraction or digging words out of your journal.
Problem #3 – Sensing a Barrier
This one is subtle. I find it in long-term clients and clients who have done significant inner work. You have an awareness of your own mind and can sense you are holding back. The writing comes easily, but you know there is more to say, a hard truth your brain is trying to protect you from facing.
You know it’s time to get to work on the next level of limiting beliefs.
Often, we’re looking at another layer of what you’ve already bumped up against. Going deeper with it. Becoming fearless. Allowing yourself, the true writer within, to become unstoppable.
Problem #4 - Scared to Speak Out
While some people write because they want to be seen, you avoid writing because you are afraid to be visible. You fear disapproval from mentors and peers alike. For some, it can be scary to reveal your true self, even in the privacy of your notebook.
Whether stuck at the starting gate,
stalled in the middle,
sensing a barrier, or
scared to speak out,
the heart of our work together is
releasing old stories about
who you think you should be in order to
reclaim your sovereignty and
set your mind free to soar in writing and life.

She also gives honest and supportive feedback, helping me articulate what I’m actually trying to say. When I am coasting with minimal effort, she challenges me to step up. She encourages me when the writing is strong, giving me the confidence that I’m on track toward my goals.

Saundra has been teaching and coaching writers for over twenty years, guiding them past their blocks to write their truth with clarity and power, helping them overcome overwhelm to write with consistency and ease, and supporting them to release old stories that keep them small in order to embody their leadership through writing. She has written professionally for forty years–in the pages of literary magazines and trade journals, for museum catalogs and newspapers. Her signature work combines the ancient partnership of Truth and Beauty with Transformational Coaching and Manifestation practices specifically for writers.
Working with Saundra helped me to develop a clear voice, and most importantly, to trust that voice. I learned, beyond writing and reading, how to explore the energy behind my writing. I learned how to connect to myself first, shift the energy from a stuck to a connected and flowing space, and then let the truth of my words flow from there.
The experience of writing in Saundra’s program changed me. It helped me to feel more connected to myself, what I want, and what is possible for me and my future.
